Membership


The total membership of Arts Council is around 5000. These members are from different professions and disciplines. They are artists, actors, singers, poets, writers, cartoonists, journalists, scholars, scientists, engineers, doctors, businessmen, professional women, lawyers, bureaucrats etc. The membership is, however, restricted to persons who are genuinely interested in activities relating to art and culture – an interest expressed both through financial contribution as well as personal involvement in the Arts Council’s activities.
